You have to put them together but its easy. The sticky strips were a little hard for us to get in &out - that's my only gripe about it. But some maneuvering & you can get it on & it works just fine.

The gnats are my worst nightmare and they always pickup about this time. These work great to attract and “stick” them to the backside of the light (out of sight). The light is a soft blue but also can be dimmed. One sticky lasts for several weeks and it come with extras!
